UP ROTC launches website
The Department of Military Science and Tactics (DMST) lauches today its new web portal for ROTC cadets in UP Diliman.
Col. Virgilio C. Aganon, Commandant and Department Head, said that this portal will not only form as an information source for the cadets but also for those who plan to enroll in UP.
"We look forward to an increase in enrolment in ROTC by next school year," said Aganon
UP ROTC cadets provide honor guard detail to University functions. Most recent of which is the UP Centennial kick-off held last January. UP cadets in the traditional rayadillo uniform joined the parade.
UP ROTC in Diliman is among the proudest units of the campuses of the University of the Philippines. Graduates of its officer training had made marks in different fields living up to their shibboleths of honor untarnished, duty well-performed, and country above self.

11/30/2007The Department of Military Science and Tactics today joined the UP Community in remembering Andres Bonifacio in a ceremony at the Bonifacio monument in UP Diliman.
"It is both an honor and a privilege to be part of remembering one of our esteemed heroes," said DMST Department Head and UP ROTC Commandant, Col. Virgilio C. Aganon
Twelve (12) cadet officers and cadets in Rayadillo Uniform served as honor guards in the wreath-laying. The wreath was presented by UP Diliman Chancellor Sergio Cao assisted by Col Aganon.
"Your presence here today says that the youth has never forgotten what our heroes sacrificed for the freedom you enjoy today," Cao said in a speech.
This day marks the 144th birth anniversary of Bonifacio
